Essential Luxuries offers ecommerce capabilities for the Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA.net), dedicated to providing safe, easy-to-use, high quality, beautifully aesthetic products, fixtures, and adaptive equipment for your home.

Products are sourced from around the world and recommended by occupational therapy experts, based on principles of universal design for accessibility.  We search for distinctive, extraordinary products that promote independence while making daily living activities easier and more comfortable.  In the product descriptions and the Home Mods Blog, read our occupational therapist recommendations and observations for why these products work and offer excellent value!

Occupational therapists who are affiliated with the Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA.net) have a special interest in both functional and elegant product solutions to disability challenges.  The Essential Luxuries online store was born in June, 2014 to provide one-stop shopping for distinctive, functional, elegant products.  Our goal is to contribute to a beautiful, low-maintenance environment in your living space that you are proud to live in, promoting comfort, convenience, and safety without compromise.  There is no reason that your home has to look like a hospital to accommodate your special needs!
